Spit Roast English Lamb
Spit roast lamb is purchased from Smithfield market and
is either fresh English or Welsh lamb which is the best
lamb available on the market. We do not use New Zealand
lamb as this is frozen lamb.
Our Lamb is marinated with Rosemary and garlic prior to
racking on the spit pole. A typical lamb will take a
maximum of 3 hours to cook and 30 minutes to rest before
it is ready to carve.
The best meat is found on the rear on a lamb and across
the back which is the fillet or loin. Carved
professionally you would expect to achieve up to 70
guest portions. For events that have guest numbers in
excess of 70 will require an extra lamb.
The taste of a whole spit roast lamb is spectacular with
a taste that is rarely experience by cooking in a
domestic oven. |
